Roost Bistro Review

Overall this was a great find for us. It was one of the first nice days for eating outdoors and we were able to be seated outside right away. The hostess also appeared to be our waitstaff so that was a bit challenging at times. We both ordered the salad that was on the special. I added roasted salmon to mine. The salad and salmon were large portions and made a great meal. Wine and drinks were great additions - we did have to ask for refills on all drinks (including water) because the hostess/waitress was busy. Pros: great outdoor seating; large portions; good tasting food. Cons: slightly slow service; expensive mixed drink (considering the quality - Mojito)

I recently went for lunch on a weekend. I was seated promptly, with no wait. The server was efficient, but not very welcoming. I ordered the Caesar salad, which was unremarkable, except for the soggy croutons. There is nothing worse than soggy croutons, which suggest that the salad was not made to order. The atmosphere in the restaurant was downbeat, with very little energy.
