You can have a nice walk. Drive on N Columbus Dr going north from Millenium Park. Turn on Wacker Dr and drive down a level (yes roads lead down to the river) and park on Lower Wacker Dr right by the river. Cheap parking on weekdays and free on weekends. You can walk right onto the riverwalk a few feet away. Also checkout the fountain that fires from one side of the river to the other side in an Arc every hour for 10 minutes.

5/5OutstandingOne of my favorite places in Chicago! The Riverwalk is very well maintained, and the night view is very beautiful. There are some bars that you can sit down the enjoy the view. It can get crowded during summer (but was closed temporarily due to COVID). On one side is the great view of the art projection on Merchandise Mart, and if you continue walking toward the lake, it can get pretty close to navy pier (still requires some additional walking, but wouldn’t be too far). St Patrick’s day will be very fun to see the green river! maw mandi dulu ah
