After the Maguan Treaty, Japan obtained the right to navigation in the Yangtze River basin. In order to avoid vicious competition, several Japanese companies merged and operated, and a small number of Chinese shareholders were recruited to join, named after "Nissin", indicating that China-Japan joint venture and goodwill. The Nissin Ocean Bank once became the largest ship tonnage among foreign-funded shipping companies in China. The building has become a century-old hotel, and the hotel decoration in front of the door has greatly reduced the classical European style.
