The Rona glacier ice world, the white Rona glacier is located near a village in the eastern Swiss canton of Valais, which is the source of the Long River, stretching about 9 kilometers, and the maximum width can reach 1,000 meters. The Rona glacier was once the largest glacier in Europe, and its tributaries can reach as far as Lyon, France. I drove along Am Grimselpass with a few friends and finally arrived at Oberwald. After a break for afternoon tea, we were ready to start our hike to Rona Glacier. At the beginning of the walk, we passed a small store selling souvenirs. Remember that tickets are purchased here, and the conversion into RMB is about 60 yuan/person. When we lined up to buy tickets, we found that they were basically foreign tourists, and there were no Asian faces except a few of us. Later, the conductor told us that the tour group would not be arranged here because it is only suitable for free travel. After buying the ticket, enter through the glass door behind the conductor. Because I have never seen such snow in my southern city, I was thrilled to see the first sight of Rona glacier. The Rona glacier is a world of ice and snow, white everywhere, and in the sun, I actually see these snow reflected brilliantly, like clear water. In the thin ice layer, I can see the blue water flowing under the ice. For me, this visit to Rona glacier is a magical experience. It’s just a pity that the glacier has been shrinking in recent years, and maybe in another decade or decades, the Rona glacier will disappear. So friends who want to come must not let themselves have regrets. Address: Valais near Furka Pass Open Hour: 10:00-17:00
