Shallow Water Bay is located in the south of Taiping Mountain on Hong Kong Island. It is a crescent-shaped bay with the reputation of "the first Bay in the world" and "Eastern Hawaii". It is the most representative Bay in Hong Kong. The English name of Shallow Bay is Repulse Bay, which is said to have originated from a British Royal warship stationed in the bay to guard against piracy, meaning "Repulse". Shallow Water Bay has been famous for a long time. In the classic work of Zhang Ailing, a famous modern novelist, Bailiusu and Fan Liuyuan are two masters of love struggle, whose venues are Shallow Water Bay Hotel.

5/5OutstandingOne of my favorite places in HK is known for its soft white sand. Repulse bay is just 20 mins away from Central.The water is clear, calm and inviting. There are lots of buses going there. Shops, shopping plaza, several beachfront restaurants and many more activities for the whole family. There are a lot of trees so you can hide in the shadow. Can be overcrowded on weekends.
