Rector palace The Patriarchal Palace carries the history of Dubrovnik. The building has been through hardships with the Republic and has been damaged several times by war and earthquakes. The Patriarchal Palace was once the seat of a small parliament with a dedicated auditorium as the official reception. The Palais des Palais was completely destroyed by the war in 1435 and was rebuilt in the middle of the 15th century. Two more serious damages have been experienced. There are many portraits and artifacts on display. It is currently under construction.
