Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center is located on the bank of Fushan Bay, Eastern New District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province. The original site of Beihai Shipyard is adjacent to May Fourth Square and Donghai Road. The famous scenic spot "Yandao Autumn Chao" in the city is located in the southeast corner of Yan'erdao Mountain in the base. The 2008 Beijing Olympics and 13 Paralympic sailing events were held here. In order to welcome the Olympic sailing competition and create a "Sailing Capital", the Qingdao Municipal People's Government relocated the Beihai Shipyard to Haixi Bay in the West Coast New District as a whole, and built the International Sailing Center into a unique maritime sports building area in Qingdao. It reflects the concept of "green Olympics, scientific and technological Olympics, humanistic Olympics".
