Qianxi Temple Review

Qianxi Temple is the first big cave at the northern end of Longmen Xishan Mountain. It is more than nine meters high and wide, and nearly seven meters deep. It was built about 1,300 years ago in the early Tang Dynasty. The cave top algae well is a shallow lotus flower. The Lord Buddha Amitabha sat on the Sumi table, with a full face, a breast uplift, and a slanted hanging seat in front of the garment. The proportion of the body was well proportioned, and the expression was wise. The whole attitude gave people a sense of calm and compassion. On the left side of the Lord Buddha is the big disciple Jia Ye, and on the right is the little disciple Ananda. Especially the south wall of the general trend to the bodhisattva, the shape is full and thick, the ritual is quiet, and there are 1-1 replicas on display in the Palace Museum. The Amitabha and the two Bodhisattvas on both sides are called the Three Holy Westerns, the three saints who control the Western Bliss World, and are the objects of the Buddhist Pure Land Faith.
