Ma Lian (1893-1935), who took you to see the "Xiaoxiang Hall" in Tianyi Pavilion, was once a professor at Peking University, one of the famous "Five Horses" in Jixian County. In 1931, he returned to Ningbo on vacation due to illness and found that there were many ancient bricks around the wall site since Hanjin, so he picked them up and put them in sacks and carried them home and kept them in a house, called "Qianjinzhai". 1933-1935 Ma Lian donated all the ancient bricks he had hidden to Tianyi Pavilion when the Tianyi Pavilion was renovated. For this reason, Tianyi Pavilion has a special room for display, and it is still named "Qianjinzhai". Now "Qianjinzhai" is a historical celebrity exhibition hall, and it also displays some ancient bricks and books donated by local collectors.
