Postal Museum Review

Taipei Post Office - The three first-class offices of Taiwan Post in the Japanese period are located near the north gate of Taipei. The Taipei Post Office, completed in the 1930s, is a trapezoidal three-story building with two large and one small similar "four-housing" configuration. The gate has a five-fold arcade, the entrance porch is prominent and arched, and the front of the building is equipped with four sets of double round classical gateposts and gable decoration. Because of modern eclecticism, the internal structure adopts a simplified design orientation, although, the classical sculpture of the pillars and the ceiling of the hall still presents extreme meticulous elegance.

Taipei Post Museum is located in Zhongzheng District. It is accessible by MRT and bus. There are many stamp collections in the museum. The current items displayed in the museum include stamps, philatelic products, postal history introduction, postal business simulation and related books. The huge detail presents the postal development history of Taiwan for many years. Tickets for adults will be nominally charged NT$ 5, and elderly children will be free.
