We have gone to Pink Elephant twice, and it's a very good option for Indian in Athens. It's a small cosy place, one of the few that have a complete separate area for smokers and non-smokers, with a door dividing the two, a blessing in Athens, especially in the winter when all businesses try to make more money by illegally giving free reign to indoor smokers. The Samandri Rattan King Prawns (similar to Tandoori king prawns) and the Kashmir Sweet Naan Bread (similar to Peshwari naan) are absolutely fantastic, much better than the equivalent ones we've tried in any Indian restaurant in the UK. Chicken tikka masala, butter chicken and mango and pineapple curry (we tried it with prawns) are also good. The very nice decor, and the loveliest and smiliest waitress we've met make this a very pleasant place to eat, we would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for some great Indian food in Athens. Booking a table beforehand is a must, as the space is not that big, and it also offers online orders for delivery to nearby areas. As the kitchen is small (two chefs only), keep in mind that orders for both eating in and delivery might take some time on busy nights (order at least 45 min in advance for delivery).
