The decoration is authentic, the service is very friendly, but the food is very general. I ordered a tomato cheese salad and toast with tomatoes, as well as Italian macaroni. The highlight of the salad and toast is tomatoes, that's it. The bread is not fresh. The macaroni is very good, and the cream bacon pasta is the opposite, getting a lot of bad reviews, this is still their recommended dish, we did not order this pasta. The location is very good, this may be the better part of the banality.

the restaurant had some very traditional Roman specialties on the menu but the ambiance was NOT old Roman and the execution of the dishes was far from old Roman too.. so that wasn't what I expected. the servers were nice but I wouldn't go back.. and the prices were higher than they should have been for the experience.

We are an Italian couple who actually had on their first dates here. This place we used to love and go back to has now completely lost its “soul”, it used to a true gem, very close to the Coliseum, yet very authentic. Now it’s just another restaurant that tries to achieve maximum income with minimum effort.
