It is the largest and oldest museum in Serbia. It is located in the Republic Square in the capital Belgrade. It was built on May 10, 1844. It was recognized as a “high value cultural heritage” in 1979. It has more than 400,000 pieces. Among them are the masterpieces of Van Gogh.
