Museum of Mural Treasures in Tang Dynasty Review

Tang Tomb murals are unique and precious collections of Shaanxi History Museum. There are nearly 600 murals of more than 20 Tang Tombs, reaching more than 1,000 square meters. 69 of them (group) 82 are designated as first-class products. The Tang Tomb mural depicts the ritual norms, life customs, costume characteristics, entertainment style and architectural style at that time with unique architecture, simple and vivid characters, simple and bright landscapes and lifelike plants and animals. It is an important image material to study the social life of the Tang Dynasty, especially the noble life and spiritual pursuit.

The collection of murals is more than 1,000 square meters, more than 630, and there are 108 murals in the first class alone. These murals are unearthed from more than 20 tombs of the Tang nobles. The number of murals, the high level, the good preservation, the complete time series, is unique in the country and even the world.

The Tang Dynasty mural treasure museum is a toll exhibition hall in Shaanxi Province History Museum. The exhibition here is a precious mural unearthed from temples and tombs around Xi'an, which truly reflects the life and beliefs of people more than 1,000 years ago.
