Museum of Contemporary Art Australia Review

Traveling to Australia, this stop came to Sydney, to the rocky area of Sydney to punch in. Passing by, I saw this museum, located opposite the Sydney Opera House, founded in May 1989 and officially opened in 1991, collecting and exhibiting contemporary art in Australia, Asia Pacific and around the world. Early owned by the University of Sydney and largely funded by the South Wales Government and the Australian Parliament since 2001. The museum has three floors and more than 4,000 pieces, of which 3,060 were donated by artist John Power, mostly post-1960 artwork. The museum is open from 10am to 5pm daily, and is extended on Wednesday to 9pm, with Christmas breaks and no fees for visits.

We had only a few hours left in town and we decided to spend it at this museum. There was a small collection with some interesting works by Australian artists. We got a guide (about an hour) and it was free. This visit to this museum made us both memorable and enjoyable. I highly recommend it as it gives you a better view of the collection. The cafe on the fourth floor has a nice view and worth a visit

It is free here, very large, there are many staff guarding contemporary art, some of which are good and some are difficult to understand. The place is very large, but most rooms are empty. So many staff, it must cost a lot. I feel some artworks are excellent, they must be very expensive, I would question whether it could be worth the money. Art is a necessity, but it seems to be lost here. Many people think differently.

All kinds of art exhibitions have their own characteristics. What I see is the exhibition of cloth art. It is very interesting to cut various patterns of cloth art into different shapes and sew them on a large background map, showing different artistic conceptions. There is a platform on the fourth floor of the pavilion, which can see the harbour bridge and the ring pier.

The work is abstract, which gives me the feeling that "the rubbish in my house can also be exhibited], especially "untitled", like a laundry bag hanging on the wall. But as a free museum, its cost-effectiveness is still high.
