Tsukuba Mountain stands on the Kanto Plain, with beautiful scenery, since ancient times it has been known as "Fuji in the west and Tsukuba in the east". Tsukuba Mountain has changed colors such as blue, green and purple in the morning and evening, and is also known as "Purple Peak". Tsukuba Mountain is 877 meters above sea level. It consists of the male mountain on the west side (871 meters above sea level) and the female mountain on the east side (877 meters above sea level), the mountain is beautiful, often used to be compared with Mount Fuji, so there has been a "Western Fuji, East Tsukuba" statement since ancient times.

The mountain is not big, locals will come to climb the mountain, there are few tourists, and it is very good to feel the scenery of nature.

It is a perfect mountain for a beginner hiker. The summit is achievable within 1.5 hours. There are some festivals held occasionally, such as the Ume (plum) festival from which you can enjoy the beautiful plum flowers while waiting for the beautiful sakura within weeks later; autumn festival around November to enjoy the locals' hospitality and their products.

Take the bus to the shrine and get off the cable car. It is said that it is a cable car. In fact, the tram is pulled by the cable car... The mountain is more than 800 meters high, but if you don't have professional equipment to take the cable car, one way 590 yen. The mountain road is too difficult to go! There is basically no decent ladder, I am all hands and feet and use to climb, I don't know how many people have wrestled along the way. If you just want to exercise, I recommend taking the cable car to the sightseeing platform and climbing the men's mountain and women's mountain. The men's mountain is 300m straight and the women's mountain is 600m straight. Although the road is not easy to walk, you can go around in 1 hour. The scenery is also very good. The whole Tsukuba city has a panoramic view. There is no ticket at all, you can consider it yourself without taking the cable car. If you like to challenge yourself, you can climb up the whole process, about 1 and a half to two hours. I really can’t stand the knees down the mountain. I don’t say that I can lie down for a day tomorrow.
