Although it is not high, the mountain road is curved and not asphalted, and the driving up the mountain is quite bumpy. The area of the mountain is small and there are not a few people standing, but a tall statue of Christ is erected on the pedestal that reads, "Christ is dead, Christ is in heaven, Christ will come again." The statue was donated by the Caberillas and their families in 1987, and there is no indication on the pedestal as to why it was donated. However, some people say that there is a circle of coral reefs around Saipan, which is the natural dike of Saipan. Although typhoons often form over Saipan, under the protection of this natural dike, Saipan has been well-tuned all year round. To thank heaven for their patronage, the couple erected this statue on behalf of Saipan. This explanation may seem far-fetched, but if you stand at the top and look out to the sea, you can indeed see a coral reef surrounding Saipan.
