Mount Aso Review

Must go attraction at Kumamoto. Please take the helicopter to see Mount Aso from the top to the bottom, once in a lifetimes experience! I went on my own so I had to pay double, if not it was only around 70usd which was definitely worth it

Mount Aso went back and forth in January last year, it was very cold. But there is not much snow. The way to the mountain There is a view of snow mountain along the way and brown grasslands. The atmosphere is good, both the way all the way to the mountains, not many people. It can also go to the crater, but you have to see the weather every day. If you have a chance to go to Kumamoto, you must visit it. 10/10

Asu volcano is located behind Kumamoto, in the middle of Kyushu, an active volcano, Japan has a vast number of active volcanoes, the bottom plate of the Japanese islands must not be flat. Asu has five craters, of which Zhongyue has long-term activities, volcanic cone grass does not live, the side is relatively quiet, the fertile soil of ash grows vegetation to decorate several volcanoes well.

It's worth going. It's great to go to the volcano by bus after arriving at a lovely railway station on a distinctive Asu Boy's train. It's a beautiful journey, passing through the grass thousands of miles and the volcano museum, and looking out at the snow-white smoke coming from the volcano outside the window. This is the only active volcano open to the outside world. Unfortunately, due to smoke, the cable car was out of service and failed to reach the crater. Next time you have a chance, you must go again.

Due to the 2016 earthquake, there is no direct train to Asu Station, only a long-distance bus or train to JR Feihou Otsu Station, and then take the bus to Asu Station. Say three things, be sure to pay attention to the timetable! After the bus enters the mountain, the scenery along the way is super beautiful. It is recommended to come early in the morning. After arriving at Asu Station, immediately pick up the bus at 10 o'clock to go to the crater, grass thousands of miles, otherwise the next bus is 13 o'clock. If you really don't catch the only two buses to the mountain pass in the day, there are also Asu Shrines around, and the cuddly (animal) theme park can be played. There is a shuttle bus to Asu Shrine every hour, there are quite a lot of places to eat around, and if you go to cudly, walk for 20 minutes. It is also a good choice. If you can take the bus, if you only plan to play for half a day, then you can only choose one of the two grass and crater. You can ride a horse and walk on the lawn. The next return car is an hour later. You have to wait until 3 pm. So, be sure to pay attention to the time! There is a bit of depression around the crater. You can see that there is no cable car since February 2017. The recovery time is not fixed. There is only one large souvenir shop to visit. The shrine has also been relocated. The sulfur smell in the air is not very obvious. Maybe when I went there, the activity was not too violent. You can see only a little smoke, unlike the billowing smoke seen in other pictures, the degree is estimated to not let up the mountain.

Don't rush to buy tickets after getting off at Asu Station, just wait for the bus at the bus stop, because there are buses, and the bus can also buy tickets when it arrives and gets off. The bus rides up the mountain with picturesque scenery. Because of the volcano eruption, the climbing ropeway stopped, and the smoke from the crater slowly flowed in the distance. It was beautiful, but the air smelled of sulphur, so I didn't stay long.
