Memorial of Eighth Route Army Office Review

The earliest name of the Xi'an Eighth Road Army Office is Qixianzhuang, which was built in the winter of 1934 and completed in the spring of 1936. In 1936, in order to secretly transport medical equipment and drugs purchased from all over the country to the northern Shaanxi Soviet District, to solve the problem of the shortage of clothes and medicine for the Red Army, Liu Ding, a member of the underground Communist Party of China who worked around Zhang Xueliang, leased Qixianzhuang No. 1 Courtyard. In the exhibition room of the memorial, there are revolutionary cultural relics such as documents, certificates, radio stations, books and periodicals, news pictures, martyr manuscripts and other documents of the year, which vividly and concretely record the history of the establishment of the office, the historical tasks and the work, study and struggle with the enemy of the office comrades.

The Eighth Route Army has set up offices in many cities in China, and the Xi'an office is the earliest and the responsibility is the greatest. The Eighth Route Army lived in Xi'an office in that year and sent a large number of anti-war materials and progressive youth to Yan'an, and also did a lot of work for our party to promote the anti-war proposition. More than 70 years later, the Eighth Route Army office has basically maintained the same, and a memorial hall has been established, showing people the hard history through a large number of precious historical relics and pictures. This is a good patriotic education base.

The Eighth Route Army Office is a patriotic education base and a place where many new members of the unit enter the party to swear. From the secret transportation station at the end of the Red Army Long March to the office of the Eighth Route Army during the Anti-Japanese War, until the second domestic revolutionary war was forced to close, and it existed for 10 years, to raise supplies for the Red Army and the Eighth Route Army, and rescue the Red Army West Route Army commanders. Transporting progressive youth to Yan'an and other revolutionary causes has made indelible contributions.
