The museum is divided into three floors, the first floor displays the early history of Macau, the second floor displays the folk art and traditions of Macau, and the third floor displays the objects of contemporary Macau. Macau's museums use three-dimensional, light, sound, and high-tech images, using replicas and models to strengthen the display effect, mainly collecting calligraphy and painting, match industry, export porcelain, folk etiquette, road ring black sand archaeological site, firecrackers.

The museum houses a remarkable collection of historical artefacts, including ancient documents, artwork, and cultural relics. It provides valuable insights into Macau's past.

The Macau Museum and the Fort are together, an attraction. The museum is small, there are not many displays inside, and more people are going to see the Fort.
