龙门峡谷位于保定市满城区，紧邻龙门水库，在水库的东南角就是一条峡谷——这就是著名的龙门峡谷。峡谷总体为南北向，全长约4公里左右，最宽处200米，最窄处仅8米，最深处30米。峡谷两岸石壁陡峭，怪石嶙峋。由龙门水库溢出的水流在峡谷中断处跌落，珠挂翠绿，声传悠远，自古便有"雷溪春涛"的美誉。从峡谷底部蜿蜒前行，不时与石径、树林、岩洞、溪水相遇，仰望天际，在峡谷缝隙中可见白云游走，飞鸟掠过；谷上谷下的温度有很大的差异，夏日于此处避暑，成了越来越多人的选择。
