Lombardy Street is a famous street in San Francisco, California. Lombardy Street runs east-west through Fort Park and the Bull Cave District. Lombardy Street was launched by Jasper O'Farrell and named after the street of the same name in Philadelphia. The most well-known section of Lombardy Street is the "Jiuquhua Street" on the Russian mountain. This street is a one-way downhill. It is the world's most winding street with a total of eight sharp turns, famous for its roundabouts. This very steep street was originally a straight line, because it was too steep and dangerous but given the safety of the road, the section was changed to the current curved circuit in 1923.
