La Jaquita Baya Review

The room was nice and the staff was friendly. The location of the hotel is very close to the beach (there is no beach in front but a minute walk). The public area is fun to hang out - lots of sofas, hammocks, sunbeds, lovely pool. I think this price is too expensive, but I think the price Paje. Would recommend to others. Breakfast is not very worth it.

In San Juan, I accidentally walked to this store. The store is not big, there are a lot of people, the taste is good, the food and drinks are quite large, and the price is good.

I visited La Jaquita Baya for late lunch (4:00 pm) on a tuesday. Mariemma was very welcoming and helpful, she was very friendly as she took my order. I was surprised when my food arrived, it tasted so good. As a local I can tell you that this is typical local food done right. Place looks very good, service was very nice with Mariemma and food was delicious..... is there anything else needed? Highly recommended!

If you are looking for locally-raised food and traditional Puerto Rican dishes prepared by talented chefs, this is the place. I wish I could have returned again. I went for lunch on a weekday and got a table immediately. The waiter was friendly and helpful with suggestions. I was not too hungry and ordered the glazed pork belly atop mofongo stuffed with shredded pork, and guanabana juice. The pork belly was fantastic, and the mofongo was nothing like the dish I had at another restaurant (much more flavorful!). I also purchased a half gallon of guanabana juice to go; there are fruits and vegetables and juices and other items for purchase at the restaurant. There is also a full bar in a separate room.

Great fried fish, appetizers, service, and location. Unique atmosphere, unique twist to local food. Recommend this restaurant.
