The scenery here is very beautiful. It is the largest Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia. There are busy monasteries and Buddhist universities. Students from all over Asia come here to study Buddhism. They can get along very quietly here.

The Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery at Bright Hill Road is the largest Buddhist monastery of the Mahayana tradition, Chan “Zen” school in Singapore. Its sprawling grounds and large prayer halls are open to visitors who wish to explore respectfully its premises to better understand Buddhism and spend time in quiet reflection or meditation. While there is a charitable kitchen which serves free vegetarian meals daily for those in need, there is also a cafe which is open to the public offers delicious paid meals and beverages. Do pay this place a visit and be in marvel of the deep religiosity in a modern country like Singapore!
