Huizong-Lamakloster Review

Huizong Temple is located in Duolun County, Inner Mongolia. It is a royal monastery built in Kangxi for 30 years. It was destroyed in 1945 and rebuilt in 2003. I went to Duolun in August 2019 to see it.

The "Huizong Temple" was the largest lama temple outside the mouth at the time, standing tall and magnificent. There are more than 1,000 lamas living in the temple, each lama eats 52 silver a year. It is supplied by the rented silver land and the flag counties. In addition, the land around the temple is divided into the lama temple. The main temple was burned down in the Qing Dynasty, and the capital was rebuilt after the fundraising. The temple was spectacular and the same as the previous one. In 1945, the Su arms burned, and the remaining temple houses were used as warehouses of the county grain bureau. On June 25, 2001, Huizong Temple, as an ancient building in the Qing Dynasty, was approved by the State Council to be included in the list of the fifth batch of key cultural relics protection units in the country. The Huizong Temple we can see now is about 05 years old, after renovation, and gradually restored to open new temples.

Navigation in the past, the location is accurate, there is free parking at the door, no tickets are charged, free visits. Mongolian is called "Huhe Sumo", which means the Qing Temple, because the roof of the temple is covered with blue orchid glazed tiles. It is also commonly known as "Dongdacang" because it lives in the east of the "Shanyin Temple" built later. The temple was built in 1691 (30 years of Kangxi) as a royal monastery built by the Qing Dynasty, designed and built by the Living Buddha of Zhebu Zundamba. In 2001, it was listed as a key cultural relics protection unit in the country.

Huizong Temple is a ticket-free attraction in Duolun County. Huizong Temple is the first lama temple built by the Qing Dynasty in Mongolia. Kangxi set up a meeting monument here after defeating Ge'erdan in Ulan Butong. The temple has great significance for the Qing Dynasty to consolidate the northern territory and lay the map of the Qing Dynasty. It's not bad to go around for half an hour.
