Chengdu Huaxi Insect Museum is the first modern insect museum in China. The number of specimens on display ranks first in Asia. The museum has all kinds of butterflies and rare and ornamental insect specimens found in Sichuan Province, as well as a large number of butterfly and insect specimens from all over China. Among them, there are more than 1,700 types of butterflies in China alone, accounting for more than 95% of the known species in China. It is recognized by international academic circles as the most complete museum in the world to collect Chinese butterfly species, and the number of butterfly species is three times that of all butterfly species in Europe.
