Hu ancient buildings Review

Hu's folk house, whose scientific, historical and artistic value is the only in Gansu Province, is also rare in the country, providing precious and rich historical materials for the study of Tianshui's historical evolution and folk customs, both Tianshui Folk Museum and Tianshui Ancient Folk House Building Culture Museum. It is also an important patriotic education base and folk culture tourism place in Gansu Province.

胡氏古民居，俗称“南北宅子”。在甘肃省天水市秦州区民主西路。明代民居古建筑。占地2300平方米，建筑面积约500平方米。始建于明万历年间。南宅子和北宅子隔街相望，由明代名臣胡来缙父子所建。四合院形制。现存建筑8座、垂花门1座、影壁3座。主体建筑正厅和房院为明代原建，其余为清代重修。正厅面阔五间，进深三间，单檐悬山顶，前出廊，柱头卷刹，平板枋与阑额断面呈T形。为全国重点文物保护单位。
