Holy Metropolitan Church of the Annunciation to the Virgin Mary Review

The church, called Mitropolis Cathedral, was built in 1840 and only completed 15 years later. It is known as the largest and most beautiful church in Greece. The official ceremony of the President's grade country is held here. The church has a magnificent appearance and beautiful interior decoration. The church is close to the famous women's street in Athens.

Athens Metropolitan Church is located in the historical center of Athens, Metropolis Avenue. It is a special place for the celebration of the Virgin Mary. This Christian church was built between 1842 and 1862. The original architectural drawings were drawn by Theophilus Hansen, but later on, Dr. Zepos's advice was adopted and the Greco-Byzantine style was followed. Finally, the Byzantine traditional style of the church was well integrated with the classical elements of Europe.

You can visit it free of charge, but the lights are dim, dark, and the atmosphere is depressed. You can't appreciate it very much. There is a small square outside and there are several good gift shops around it.

And most of Athens is a church. But I dare not go in. I just feel like I'm looking outside.
