Huaxuan Ancient is the political capital of Ding Dynasty and the former Li Dynasty of Vietnam. It is located 90 kilometers south of Hanoi and more than two hours' drive. Huaxuan is protected by natural barriers of limestone mountains due to its unique terrain. So in the 10th and 11th centuries was chosen as the ancient capital, until the early 11th century Li Dynasty moved to Shenglong (Hanoi). In the 17th century, in order to commemorate the ancient emperors of Vietnam, two temples were built at the old site, offering sacrifices to Ding Dynasty Emperor Ding Xuan and former Li Dynasty Emperor Li Xuan, which are now the main historical attractions visited by tourists to Huaxu Ancient Capital.

The attractions from Lulong Bay Tour ㄧ are not very curious because they are similar to Chinese temples. The only thing that attracted me was that the bricks and tiles looked very special, like scallops, very beautiful, and I had never seen the tiles.

The date they were discovered is displayed but not the dates of the artifacts. I read Vietnamese better than most learners but with no English translations it was too hard.

There is no entrance fee for the museum. The exhibits are quite interesting, related with the local. However, some of the displays have no English translation. No problem, recommended to come here

Visited the museum on a Saturday night, (yes! Opened till 9pm), many interesting collection of artefacts, though the presentation of the documentation seems outdated, the information is useful to know the history of Can Tho.

A great walk through time in Vietnam. Well put together and ordered to give visitors a good understanding of the history of Vietnam, albeit maybe a little controversial in later events! Very recommended
