The temple monuments in the Six-Zu Hall are said to have been founded in the Ming Dynasty. But according to an inscription carved on the octagonal stone in front of the Six-Zu Hall, which was discovered by Mr. Liu Dunxu and others in 1936, when the Chinese Creation Society investigated the Shaolin Temple, the temple was founded in Jin Taihe six years (1206). It was destroyed in 1928. The temple was rebuilt and rebuilt in 1983.
