This is the Red Sea! The Red Sea, Arabic called البحر الأحمر, is located between northeastern Africa and the Arabian Peninsula, and presents a long narrow shape. It is connected to the Mediterranean Sea by the Suez Canal to the northwest, and to the south by the Strait of Mande to the Gulf of Aden. It is the highest salinity sea. It is an important oil transportation channel in the world.
