Guiyuan Review

Chongqing negotiations important historical memorial, subway Zengjiayan No. 2 exit 500 to arrive, not far from the Chongqing Municipal Committee, it was originally the residence of General Zhang Zhizhong, Chongqing negotiations for Mao Zedong, but Chairman Mao did not live here, most of them live in the Eighth Route Army of the Southern Bureau of the CPC Central Committee Chongqing. Over there, this is the place where the Double Twelve Agreement was signed and the guests were invited, which has special historical significance.

Guiyuan is located at No. 65 Zhongshan 4th Road, Yuzhong District, Chongqing, adjacent to Chongqing Qiujing Middle School. It is an independent small courtyard with a gate facing the street. Zhang Zhizhong was rented by a director (in charge of the military) when he was the chairman of the military committee of the Kuomintang Government. When he moved in, Zhang Zhizhong planted the osmanthus tree by himself, and opened the name of his father "Guizheng", and named the small courtyard "Guiyuan". Guiyuan is located on Zhongshan 4th Road, Yuzhong District, Chongqing, formerly the General Zhang Zhizhong Mansion, the Minister of Political Affairs of the Military Commission of the National Government. During the negotiations in Chongqing in August 1945, Lieutenant General Zhang Zhi gave it to Mao Zedong. Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai often came here to work and meet during the day. The famous Double Ten Agreement was signed in the living room of Guiyuan. Guiyuan was officially opened to the outside world in 1977, and Guiyuan covers an area of 700 square meters. The main building is a brick and wood structure. The living room on the left side of the downstairs is the dining room on the right. Mao Zedong and Comrade Zhou Enlai have banqueted the heads of various countries' groups in China and friendly people from all walks of life. The second floor is where Mao Zedong and Comrade Zhou Enlai work and rest.
