Gaya Street is a very special street, most of the shops on the street are Chinese. The most famous food is Bak Kut Tea, Raw Inner Noodle, Orange Ice, Tiger Shrimp, and you can also taste authentic Malaysian Old Street Coffee. Snacks are basically MYR 10-MYR 20 to experience. Although the roads here are narrow, pedestrians can pass safely because of the high quality of the driver and all vehicles are well organized. Every Sunday morning the market is here, daily necessities, local products, tourist souvenirs, clothing shoes and hats.

Gaya Street, adjacent to Kota Kinabalu's Central Station, features a Chinese-style entrance, lined with authentic restaurants and shops offering a taste of China. The lively weekend market offers affordable goods and local flavors.

One of the most lively neighborhoods in the center of Sabah, with a long history, many old-fashioned streets, there is a market on Sunday, very lively.
