Van Gogh spent the last seventy days of his life here, drawing more than 80 paintings, during which he lived in Room 5 of the Rau Hotel, the now famous former residence of Van Gogh. There are the wheat fields where he tried to kill himself, the tombs of Van Gogh and his brother Theo, and 26 Van Gogh paintings in the town are compared with the original scene, such as Van Gogh's famous Orville City Hall, the Crow of the Rye, and the Church of Ovie.
