Located opposite the Galle Bus Station, it is the main passage into Galle Old Town. It is a very simple city gate. There is nothing special. If you enjoy Galle Old Town, you should go to the old city gate not far away. The old gates of the castle of Galle still have sculptures of different periods, with English wedges on the outside and VOC letters representing the Dutch East India Company on the inside. A city gate witnessed the history of two imperialist colonial rule, and the tall and stout eucalyptus trees outside the city walls were silent, leaving only tourists to taste slowly after watching. Out of the old gate, you see the bay shore with many boats towing ashore, and there is a small fish market nearby.
