Former Residence of Lin Juemin and Bingxin Review

Lin Juemin and Bingxin's former residence are located at the intersection of the north exit of Fuzhou Nanhou Street and Yangqiao Lane. This is a three-way courtyard with a west facing east. This famous residence is a bit special, because under the same roof, two famous people have walked out, one is Lin Juemin (one of Huang Huagang 72 martyrs), one is Bingxin, known as the "grandmother of literature" century old man. This house was originally a gathering place for the seven-bedroom family of Lin Juemin's ancestors. Because Lin Juemin Guangzhou Uprising and Martyrdom, Lin's family had to avoid disaster and migrated, so he transferred the house to Xie Xuanen, his grandfather. Xie's family lived here until the 1950s, when Bingxin was 11 and 2. Although she only lived here for two years, this time is the most plump part of Ice Heart's old memories. Now, this quiet yard is the backdrop of history for its owner... for future generations to remember.

Like Guangdong, Fujian, Fuzhou, a province that often appears in modern Chinese history, is also known for its rich and well-known modern historical figures. Lin Juemin and Bingxin are undoubtedly representative figures in this city. As one of the 72 martyrs of Huanggrang, Lin Juemin's family has a large number of talented people and has paid a lot of lives for the 1911 Revolution. He lived in the late Qing Dynasty, deeply felt the pain of shattering mountains and rivers, bullying by powerful powers, corruption and incompetence of the regime, and resolutely devoted himself to the anti-Qing cause and awakened the numb people at the cost of life. His "and Wife Book" touched many Chinese people. Bing Xin is a rare female writer in modern literature. Her works accompany generations of Chinese children through happy childhood, "Little Orange Lantern", "To Little Readers". These well-known classics have become part of our memory.

When I studied history, I learned about Lin Juemin, one of the 72 martyrs in Huanggrang, and the famous letter with his wife. I always wanted to visit the martyrs. It turned out to be in three lanes and seven lanes. Today, I finally had the privilege to come to Lin Juemin's former residence and feel different about Lin Juemin.

位于南后街，也就是三坊七巷景区北口的旁边，免费开放。入口左右两边，分别挂牌“冰心故居”和“林觉民故居”，一个地方出了两位名人，原来是烈士林觉民殉难之后，林家要避祸迁离，房屋让售予冰心的祖父。这座清代建筑规模不算大，三进布局，小型厅房众多，使得庭院给人的感觉十分曲折幽深。有些房间开辟成展厅，介绍两位先生的事迹，所以如果要细品这个景点，大约需要半小时。
