Fa Ngum Statue Review

This was a surprise find along the promenade behind the Presidential Palace. It tops a lovely park where you can find people picnicking under tree shades even during lunch time (I saw this during the weekend). If you enjoy statues of elephants and horses, especially, this monument is a must-see

At 7:30 in the morning, I walked here after breakfast and was moved by the quietness here! It is located on the east side of the intersection of two cross roads. Under the mapping of morning light, it is simple and long, giving people a full sense of beauty!

The statue is located in the square where two roads meet. King Faang was the first king of Laos to unify Laos, creating the Lancang Kingdom and being a hero in the hearts of the Lao people. Throughout history, Laos has been often bullied by its neighbors and forced to war.
