East Water Gate Review

Dongshuimen Old Street, Dongshuimen Historic District. Located in the Yuzhong Peninsula, the central district of Chongqing, facing the Yangtze River. Dongshuimen Old Street and the surrounding Huguang Assembly Hall are protected and repaired, and the old wooden houses under the former East Water Gate City Wall are now replaced by antique buildings with black tiles and white walls.

Dongshuimen is in the Zhengdong of Chongqing City. The Dongshuimen built in the Ming Dynasty is the gate of the Zhengdong of Chongqing Old City, but the gate is north, which is one of the only two ancient city gates in old Chongqing. It was once the main road for people to cross the Yangtze River to the south bank, and it is also a place where foreign businessmen gather.

In the old time, the East Water Gate was quite prosperous, and the Jiangnan Assembly Hall, Huguang Assembly Hall, and the Temple of the King were all built by the city gate.

Built in the Ming Dynasty, the "Dongshuimen" is the gate of the old city of Chongqing, but the gate is north. It is one of the two ancient city gates of the old city of Chongqing. The gate on the city building has no longer existed. In the past, it has always been more to the south bank to cross the Yangtze River from this gate, so it is very prosperous.
