The East Gate site in Yangzhou is also called the Shuangyan City site. It is located in the east of Dongguan Street and is very close to the canal. It is said that it was first built in the middle of the Tang Dynasty. Of course, the city gates and walls that I see now are all newly built, imitating the style of the city walls and gates of the Song Dynasty. When passing the city gate, you can see the ruins of the city wall in the Tang and Song Dynasty below through the glass floor. There is also an exhibition introducing the cultural history of Yangzhou and Dongguan Street. I remember that when I came here, I also went to Dongguan Street in ancient costumes. It is also very close to Dongguan Gudu.
