During the summer vacation, I drove to Liaocheng, Shandong, to see the small and famous Dongchang Lake. This time I came to Liaocheng, I came to Dongchang Lake to a large extent. The area of Dongchang Lake is slightly smaller than Hangzhou West Lake, which is a rare artificial lake in northern China. This lake was a moat formed when the earth was excavated and built in the Song Dynasty, and then the water of the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal and Yellow River was introduced to recharge, forming a stable lake. After the construction of Dongchang Lake over the past generations, it formed a unique scenery surrounding the ancient city of Liaocheng, especially the night view.
