Dinghui Temple in Rugao City, Jiangsu Province, was first built in the 11th year of the emperor of the Sui Dynasty (591 AD), and is a thousand-year-old temple northward of the mountain gate with a unique architectural style. According to the "Continued High Seng Chuan" written by the Tang Dynasty Tao Xuan monk, in November of the 11th year of the emperor of the Sui Dynasty, Yang Guang (later the Sui Emperor) set up a thousand monks in Yangzhou Jincheng Palace. The actual founder of the Buddhist Tiantai Zong, the master, was invited to Yangzhou to teach the Bodhisattva ring, passing through Rugao, Found the Buddha light over Rugao, recognized this is a treasure land, so here Maojian Temple, named Dinghui Temple, and built a seven-level pagoda. In the history of more than 1,000 years, Dinghui Temple has been destroyed, rebuilt and repaired. After the reform and opening up, Dinghui Temple finally reappeared the golden statue, the temple was shining, cigarettes lingered, and the believers and tourists were endless.
