Congee Bowery Restaurant and Bar Review

Our last minutes plan with 2 other families (party of 12 )on Saturday night at 8. The wait is about 15 mins. While we waiting, the manager Darren Kong recognize me from another restaurant where he used to work in Flushing, Queens (1991 ). He is still charming and friendly. We love most dishes we ordered except the Preserved vegetable with Stewed pork, which was little too fatty on the pork. Darren took it away and took it off from the check without question ask ( we ate 2 pieces ). This is the second time we ate in this Congee village and overall, we still love it.

A Cantonese cuisine, the taste is light, the ingredients are very good, like his iron beef and paella, very real

The taste is OK, it seems that it takes 30 knives to swipe the card

This is a Cantonese restaurant. They have good porridge and fried rice.
