The current site of the Temple is a Taoist Temple in the Tang Dynasty, called Zijiguan. During the period of Song Dazhong Xiangfu (AD 1008-1028), it was renamed "Xiangfu Palace". According to Song "Tujing": "Song Ganzhou had a Confucian Temple before Song, and the temple site was close to the Ziji Temple". Song Dazhong Xiangfu for three years (AD 1010), because the expansion of the Ziji Temple was Xiangfu Palace, the Confucian Temple was merged into the palace, and the government and county school were decadent. The longest vertical length of the existing Confucian Temple is about 240 meters, the widest horizontal width is 78.4 meters, and the area is about 10,000 square meters. Not only is it the best preserved ancient buildings in the city, but also the most complete and largest Confucian Temple buildings in Jiangxi Province. Next to the Temple of Confucianism, the East and West sides are Ciyun Temple Pagoda and Wumiao Temple, as well as Houde Road Elementary School. Ciyun Pagoda is an affiliated building of the ancient Ciyun Temple during the Northern Song Dynasty and is located on the left side of the Temple of Confucianism. This tower originally had the function of landing in the distance: wooden components and out-of-the-wall corridors each floor with flat seats to pick out the tower body, which is convenient for people to stand and walk, forming a corridor for visitors to climb the tower to enjoy the scenery. In the 23rd year of Qing Guangxu (1906 AD), the wooden board of the corridor was burned in a fire, leaving an orphan tower. In 1957, the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government listed the "Ciyun Tower" as the first provincial cultural relics protection unit. Wu Temple, also known as the Guandi Temple, is a temple to sacrifice Guangong. Located on the right side of the Confucian Temple, No. 44 Houde Road, Ganzhou City, it was built during the Ming Chongxuan period. In the 16th year of Qing Jiaqing (1811 AD), the road inspection and investigation of the reconstruction of the Azhang donation were completed, and then rebuilt in the 25th year of Daoguang (1845 AD), Xianfeng three years (1853 AD), and Tongzhi ten years (1871 AD), and the long time after the establishment of New China was used for Zhanggong District Continuing Education School. In 1988, it was announced as a municipal cultural relics protection unit. In June 2003, the former further education school was transformed into Houde Middle School.

Ganzhou Confucian Temple is located at No. 16 Houde Road, Old Town, Ganzhou , Jiangxi Province. Most of the buildings preserved in the Confucian Temple were built during the Qing Qianlong period, and they were well preserved. The main building of the Confucian Temple - Dacheng Gate, Dacheng Palace, Chongsheng Temple, Kuixing Pavilion, and Festival of filial piety are mainly Dacheng Temple, up to 15 meters high, magnificent, with remarkable southern Anhui characteristics. Ganzhou The Confucian Temple is the county school of Jixian County in the Qing Dynasty. After that, there are complete main buildings and some affiliated buildings of Dachengmen, Dacheng Hall and Chongsheng Temple. In 1987, it was listed as a cultural relics protection unit of Jiangxi Province by the Jiangxi Provincial Government. In May 2004, when repairs were made, the "Yuelong Bridge" and "Yuelong Pool" built by Zhang Zhaocheng during the Qianlong Dynasty were found. One bridge and one pool were restored to the sky. The Confucian Temple is adjacent to the west, and a complete Qing Dynasty Wu Temple heavy building is also preserved. The temple originally worshipped Guan Yu and other gods. This kind of cultural and martial temple architecture, which coexists in one place, is rare in China. The temple complex is mainly built on the main axis and forms a courtyard by the combination of walls. Between Dachengmen and Dacheng Palace, Dongguan and Mingshi, Xiangxianxuan, the roof is connected into one piece, forming a patio-style courtyard with southern architectural characteristics. In this square, there is a archway called "Krypton Gate". After the comet gate passed, there were two ponds, called "Dianchi Lake". In the past, children went to school and called "entering the comet". Now Houde Road Elementary School is located in it, especially fortunate. This is the environment that the school should have!

This time I returned to Ganzhou , I deliberately wanted to take my son who had just been in the first grade to Ganzhou Confucian Temple. I hope he can study hard and do useful talents in the future. At present, the main buildings were built during the Qing Qianlong period and were listed as key cultural relics protection units in the country.

The place is quite big, but except for the main hall, it is basically empty, and the primary school is very lively next to it.
