The boat sailed into the bay and was close to Prince William Sound, the last glacier attraction of the cruise ship. God took care of us, the clouds cleared and the glaciers were clear and up close. This is the largest tidal glacier in North America (tidewater glacier ), which has been moving forward for the past 100 years. But as the global climate warms, 95% of Alaska’s glaciers are retreating. Hundreds of years ago, the bay was covered with ice and snow, but now there are few glaciers left, and cruise ships must enter the bay to navigate to the only remaining glaciers to make tourists happy.
