It was raining on the day we wanted to visit the castle and by the time we reached the funicular, there was a big queue and a hot drink was calling. We called in and managed to get seats. It was quite cold with people coming in and out but blankets were available if needed (we found this with many places in Budapest). Pastries and coffees were ordered and arrived quickly. The staff weren't necessarily the friendliest but they were busy and this wasn't particularly an issue. Most busy coffee shops are the same the wold over! The cappuccinos were delish and the broccoli and cheese pastry was just what the doctor ordered. The chocolate crossaints were similarly good. We sat for around half an hour and had no issues. Exactly what you would expect from a busy coffee shop in a busy tourist location. We didn't find prices unreasonable - perhaps slightly more than the average coffee but, again, it's a prime tourist location so you expect prices to be bumped up a bit. This is not exactly unheard of!!! Hit the spot!
