The bridge is 150 years old, very basic but gorgeous, and it is named after the former Governor of Singapore, Colonel Gavina. Design is a problem with the flyover now, because the suspension bridge style, the bridge only has light bearing capacity, this is to allow the sailboat's tall mast to pass under the bridge. Another charm of the bridge is that you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Singapore River from above.
