Capulatte Review

Had breakfast here. This is a cafe, their coffee is counted on the island, many old foreigners, and the price is more expensive. Had banana bread and their homemade yogurt.

I'm still in Phi Phi and come a fair bit...and this place is still one of the top places for decent coffee. It's hard to find good coffee in Thailand and even harder on an island but this place will offer you your coffee fix. Just don't try to order soy or skim milk...and you won't be disappointed. I cannot drink milk so i stick with black coffee. PS: You wont find any alternatives to fullcream milk on the island. The food is so-so. You can definitely find better food options elsewhere. The cafe is centrally located between Tonsai Bay and Loh Dalum Beach, closer towards Loh Dalum. Perfect spot to people watch, use as a meeting ground, use wifi or charge your phone. Service is hit and miss. Depends on the mood of the staff. For the most part they are friendly. Tip: Speak clear english when you order, don't ask too many questions and don't try to alter the dish ;-)

A nasty fried egg and bacon, the former being a rubbery mess and not prepared the way we requested. We also had a tuna baguette, the most basic of food stuffs and yet this place managed to make it taste dry, chewy, and flavourless. A decent mango smoothie saved them from being considered a total disaster in my eyes. Staff acted like they were having a permanent slow day and weren't really on the ball service-wise. I guess an influx of drunk tourists hiked up their trip advisor score too much.

It's 10am and maybe she's not a morning person, but once again we're treated like dirt because we've had the cheek to spend our hard earned money here. Coffee ok but service is atrocious, no need to snatch the menus and slam things. Weird
