[Peace Bridge] The new pedestrian bridge across the Mtkvari River in Tbilisi, the Peace Bridge, was designed by Italian architect Michel De Lucchi and French lighting designer Philie Martinaud. The bridge, built of glass and iron, connects the old and new districts of Tbilisi with a 150-meter-high ceiling. On May 6, the bridge was officially opened and became a modern design landmark in Tbilisi. From the bridge, you can see the Metekhi Church and Narikala Fortress, as well as the bridge and the presidential residence. It is equipped with an interactive light display system, including 30,000 LED lights and 240 sensors, flashing every hour along the bridge's two parapets according to special signals, much like Morse code, symbolizing the chemical elements of the human body and human life and peace.
