Baoguo Temple was built in the Ming Wanli period (1573-1619), is the first temple in Mount Emei, the original name is the Huizongtang, and then the Qing Dynasty Kangxi emperor took the meaning of "Four Ensembles" in the "Four Ensembles", named Baoguo Temple, which is also the center of Buddhist activities in Mount Emei. Enter the mountain gate, the first temple is the Maitreya Temple, offering the statue of Maitreya. The second temple is the Maitreya Temple, where the Buddha's master Sakyamuni gold body is decorated with a lotus statue. Continue to climb the stone steps is the Seven Buddhas Temple, the seven Buddhas worshipped in the temple, and there is also a Yongle Porcelain Buddha with a height of2.4 meters in the temple. It is a porcelain Buddha made in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi, during the Ming and Yongle years. There are many dragons on the Buddha, and there is a small golden Buddha in each dragon. The last temple is the Puxian Temple, which worships Puxian Bodhisattva. The Sanskrit language of Puxian Bodhisattva is "Sanmando Vetra", which means universal virtuousness. Mount Emei is the Domain of Puxian Bodhisattva, so he is offered to the last temple.
