Bank of Japan Currency Museum Review

Photography is not allowed in the exhibition hall of the Tokyo Monetary Museum. The Monetary Museum is located in the Bank of Japan branch in the central district of Tokyo, Japan, and is a small museum that is easy to ignore by visitors. The museum’s collection covers the entire history of Japanese currency, from early Chinese notes to the current yen, and can see cash checks and coins from around the world.

The Bank of Japan Money Museum is a well-known comprehensive museum in Tokyo. It was not expected to be high. When we arrived, we were very excited, much better than we thought.

The Money Museum is across the road from the Bank of Japan's main store. The admission fee is free. The exhibition is very interesting, including the physical exhibition of coins from different dynasties in Japanese history, as well as the recent exhibition of new technologies such as the watermarking of banknotes. At the entrance of the building, there are small gift shops selling Japanese Silver specialties such as currency chocolates.
